ANZAC Day in Maleny 2022

Preparations are well underway for ANZAC Day. Our Guest Speaker for the Main Service will be Commander 6 Brigade, Brigadier Gregory Novac. Commemorative events in Maleny are:

  • 4.28am Dawn Service, followed by breakfast ($5)
  • 9.00am Witta Cemetery
  • 9.45am Maleny Soldiers Memorial Hospital
  • 11.00am Main Service at the RSL Hall and Cenotaph, followed by lunch ($15).

If you are marching, you will need to assemble at the corner of Maple and Fig Streets no later than 10:15 as the march steps off at 10:30 am.

In preparation for ANZAC Day, working bees will be held:

10:00 am Friday – Hall preparation.
4:00 pm Sunday – Hall and grounds

Individuals and organisations who wish to lay a tribute at the Main Service are invited to donate a book to one of our local schools. Books will need to be wrapped and labelled with the name of the school visible.

Maleny Botanical Gardens are offering veterans free entry on 25 April. You will need to show proof of service to take advantage of this offer.
