TS Centaur Navy Cadets

TS CENTAUR Australian Navy Cadets are reaching out to young people in Maleny and the Hinterland who are interested challenging and inspiring experiences, want to have fun and be part of a team. It’s a great opportunity to develop leadership skills and take part in naval activities.

Based in Maleny, TS Centaur is a Youth Club with a difference because cadets wear the uniform of the Royal Australian Navy.

Being a cadet won’t break the bank. Cadets won’t clash with school work – in fact it could even help by boosting a young person’s self-esteem and self-discipline. The aim is to develop young people by giving them the opportunity to develop skills in leadership, teamwork and communication. Activities include sailing, canoeing seamanship, camping and other sports,

The group meets at Maleny Showgrounds at the TS Centaur Unit building every Wednesday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, except during school holidays.

TS Centaur caters to both boys and girls from  ages 13 to 18. Cost is a small weekly fee to cover the cost of the meal they receive on the Wednesday night.
